Fleurs de Villes 2022
In October 2022 we were invited to participate in New York's floral event of the year - Fleurs de Villes FEMMES.
This event is a stunning showcase of the best local florists in celebration of remarkable women. We get so much pleasure and inspiration during this collaboration and it’s an honor for us to take a part in this world-known floral show among top florists of New York.
How it was?
⁃ Inspiration. When we received the confirmation that our company was approved to participate in the floral show of the year - we were very excited and started thinking about the woman we would like to embody in our floral installation. We are Ukrainian owned business and we really would like to show Ukrainian famous women. we thought about Olena Zelenska - Ukraine’s First Lady. But unfortunately we can’t choose a hero based on Fleurs de Villes rules and we got to create Vera Wang mannequin! So excited for us!
Why Vera Wang? She was born in New York and we work in NYC as well, and she creates gorgeous wedding dresses that millions of women dream of as well as we create floral decorations for weddings and make your floral dreams come true.
⁃ Sketches and Mood Board. We choose one of Vera Wang’s photos, then decided what kind of flowers we will use as primary elements in our floral installation and finalized our inspiration board
⁃ We used about 500 stems of flowers to create this floral mannequin and were refreshing the installation every two - three days. The process of installation took about 24 hours and 2 hours to take it down.
⁃ During the floral show, we held a floral pumpkin workshop and created our signature bouquets and flower boxes within a daily Flower Market by Fleurs de Villes.
